During The First Half Of 2024, Indosat Successfully Added 900 Thousand New Customers

JAKARTA - Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) managed to increase its customer base by 900 thousand new customers during the first half of 2024 (1H2024).

Thus, the number of Indosat customers up to 1H2024 has reached 100.9 million subscribers. This growth contributed to the increase in data traffic, with an increase of up to 13.4 percent year-on-year (YoY) to 7,965 Petabytes (PB).

President Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchisonanison Sinha said that this increase reflects the company's dedication to creating sustainable value for all stakeholders as well as empowering Indonesia's digital economy.

"We continue to improve our network to ensure smooth connectivity and impressive experience for customers throughout Indonesia", saidTEN in an online press conference for the first semester of 2024 IOH performance achievements on Tuesday, July 30.

Furthermore,mengatakan bahwa Indosat terus melakukan investasi strategis dalam meningkatkan infrastruktur jaringannya. Di mana 89,8 persen dari total belanja modal (Capex) perusahaan sebesar Rp4,520,6 miliar di 1H2024, dialokasikan untuk layanan seluler guna mendukung permintaan pertumbuhan layanan data.

As part of strengthening the core business, Indosat has also operated around 188,000 4G BTS, adding around 22,000 4G BTS during the first half of 2024. This expansion is complemented by the deployment of 103 5G BTS, which affirms Indosat's commitment to advancing its network infrastructure.

By increasing its scope and capacity, Indosat ensures better customer experience that encourages higher customer loyalty and satisfaction.

In terms of finance, IOH's opinion increased 13.4 percent YoY to IDR 27.9 trillion. EBITDA also increased 17.8 percent YoY to IDR 13.4 trillion, while the EBITDA margin reached 47.9 percent.

Thus, Indosat recorded a profit for the year attributable to owners of the parent entity of IDR 2.7 trillion. This achievement grew 43.3 percent YoY.
