JAKARTA The news of the permanently closing of the Google Podcast application has been circulating since the end of last year so users are asked to switch to YouTube Music. Now, Google is releasing its closing date globally. Through the YouTube Music Help Center page, Google says that Google Podcast applications will be closed to users outside the US in June. Therefore, all users who still use Google Podcasts are asked to migrate. "Users outside the United States can use Google Podcast until the end of mid-June 2024. All users around the world can migrate or export their Google Podcast subscriptions until July 29," Google said. It is not yet known how the closure system of this application is. If it is closed gradually, Google will turn off the Google Podcast application in one region at a time. However, Google can also close its application directly and simultaneously. While YouTube Music will be an alternative to Google Podcast, this application does not yet support effective playback. There are still many Google Podcast features that have not been found on YouTube Music so that the user experience still feels lacking.

How to Change Podcast Subscriptions If you are a paid subscriber in the Google Podcast application, you must move your subscription package to YouTube Music. Open the Google Podcast application first, then click the Subscription Export button at the top of the screen. After that, select Export to YouTube Music and tap Export. If the export process is complete, download the YouTube Music app and enter the account you have. Next, click Transfer and tap the option Continue. The process of moving the subscription will take up to a few minutes. Make sure to stay in the application during the transfer process.
