JAKARTA - The swallow's nest exporter, PT Esta Indonesia, built a smart swallow cultivation house (smart) using artificial intelligence (artificial intelligence) technology.
Director of Research and Manufacturing Development of PT Esta Indonesia Dian Rochyati explained that the company conducted research with CV Nore Innovation to build the swallow's cultivation house in order to improve the quality of swallow's nest production from upstream to downstream.
"We are committed to developing technology to support the development of the swallow's nest industry in Indonesia. This smart swallow cultivation house is one of the technologies we have developed to maintain quality and also increase productivity upstream of this industry, namely cultivation," said Dian as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, May 20.
Dian said previously, the company had succeeded in developing technology in processing swallow's nests without involving chemicals, environmentally friendly and still producing high-quality products in accordance with international food processing standards.
Then, the company develops smart swallow cultivation houses by using various technologies to keep cultivation ideal for the development of swallows, starting from air temperature, humidity level, lighting and other factors.
By using sensor technology coupled to the AI system, the company can also calculate the population and picking results where all the technology in this smart swallow's house can be controlled and monitored directly online through applications and "internet of things" (IOT) software.
This technology makes it easier to monitor and control the swallow's house automatically and "realtime" in the swallow's house which is located in various areas.
"We also ensure that this smart swallow cultivation house is also environmentally friendly, in addition to planting plants that can support the availability of natural swallow feed, we also develop low-frequency walet speakers with special frequencies that are effective and do not produce noise pollution which is often a problem and complaints against conventional swallow cultivation houses that exist today," he said.
The Walet Smart Cultivation House, which was built in Donggulu Village, Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi, is a pilot project that will be implemented in various regions.
The company targets to apply smart swallow's cultivation home technology in 30 locations in various regions by 2023.
