JAKARTA - Meta has brought the 3D avatar feature to all global WhatsApp users, including Indonesia. According to the company, this is the digital version of the user.
With 3D avatars, users can express themselves. This new feature is presented to WhatsApp users on Android and iOS.
Users can create their own 3D virtual character and set it as a profile picture or share it as one of 36 custom stickers.

"We're bringing avatars to WhatsApp. Now you can use your avatar as a sticker in chats. More style coming to all apps soon," Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on his Facebook page.
Here's how to create a WhatsApp avatar directly from the application.
How to make an avatar profile photo on WhatsApp
1. Open WhatsApp, make sure you have updated the application to a newer version, both in the App Store and in the Play Store.
2. Open the Settings menu (in the three dots on the top right of the application). Then, click on your profile photo menu. Then tap the camera icon.
3. If you have updated WhatsApp, three options will appear to change your profile photo, namely Camera, Gallery, and Avatar.
4. Select Avatar, then a message will appear asking the avatar and select Get Started.
5. From here, you can choose a skin tone for your avatar, after selecting, select Continue.
6. You will be taken to choose a character that suits you. Whether you're a man or a woman, you can choose your hairstyle, hair color, clothes, body shape, eye shape, eye color, eyeliner, eyebrow style and color, nose shape, lips and more.
7. After you get the desired avatar style, click Save and you will be presented with the avatar that you created earlier.
8. You can use this avatar as your Profile Photo Avatar, by selecting styles such as relaxing with tires on water, drinking coffee, clapping, laughing and more. You can also change the background color of your avatar.
9. Then, click the checkmark on the top right, and your profile photo will change with your avatar.
