Luis Diaz's Father Encourages His Son To Leave Liverpool Move To Real Madrid

JAKARTA - Winger Luis Diaz has come under a push to leave Liverpool. His father hopes Diaz yunior moves to Spain to join Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid.

Luis Diaz is one of the players considering leaving after Jurgen Klopp's manager declared his resignation from Liverpool at the end of this season. His contract just ended in 2027, but Diaz wanted to leave.

He has also been targeted by Paris Saint-Germain to replace Kylian Mbappe, who is said to be moving to Real Madrid.

Not only Diaz but other players plan to leave or are indeed targets of other clubs when Liverpool are still busy becoming new managers.

Mohamed Salah, for example, will be released to one of the Saudi Arabian clubs. Meanwhile, defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has been targeted by Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Mane Diaz, Luis Diaz's father, hopes his son can play in La Liga Spain. He wants Luis Diaz to follow in his senior footsteps in Colombia, Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez, who play at Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

"Thank you for the trust Professor Klopp gave Luis. He also answered that trust not badly," Mane said in an interview with Radio Marca.

"When 70% of the forwards were injured, he made a big contribution to the team. This is what makes the team still able to compete for the Premier League title. Liverpool are also motivated to win the league," he said.

Diaz joined Liverpool after being signed from Porto in 2022. While at Liverpool, the 27-year-old has collected 22 goals and made 13 assists in various competitions.

According to senior Diaz, there are clubs from Madrid who are interested in bringing Diaz while still in Porto. Only that plan never materialized because there was no offer for Diaz until Liverpool finally recruited him.

"We only heard the news when he left Porto. But no offers came. But who knows if there is a next offer. I hope he can come here (Madrid)," he said.

"Falcao was here. Likewise James. The offer for him never existed, but he never lost hope. The reason is, he is actively playing at his club," said Mane Diaz again.
