AS Roma Can Buy Romelu Lukaku From Chelsea On One Condition

JAKARTA - AS Roma have the opportunity to make Romelu striker Lukaku permanent. The condition is that Roma qualify for the Champion League next season. In addition, the club must be ready to compete with the Saudi Arabian Professional League club.

It was not an easy matter for Roma to qualify. Moreover, the Italian Serie A club does not have the option of extending the contract for another year for Lukaku.

Roma did intend to borrow this Belgian national team striker from Chelsea. That too after Lukaku refused to return to Inter Milan and failed to land at Juventus.

But in Rome, he became a mainstay on the front lines. Lukaku has scored 12 goals from 19 Giallorossi matches. Seeing Lukaku's goal contribution, Roma was attracted to make it permanent.

Only the relatively expensive price of Lukaku makes Roma have to think about signing a striker aged 30. The reason is, Chelsea set a price of 42 million euros. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma got the player when they qualified for the Champions League.

The problem is, Roma are still struggling to break into the top four or Champions League zone in domestic competitions. Currently, I Lupi is still stuck in eighth place with 25.

Roma are only three points away from Bologna who are ranked fourth. However, Jose Mourinho's troops had to compete with the four clubs above him.
