Jeka Saragih Will Make His UFC Debut in June

JAKARTA - A fighter from Indonesia, Jeka Saragih, will make his debut on the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) stage. The first match is scheduled for June 17, 2023.

The news about Jeka Saragih's debut schedule in the UFC has been confirmed by Graham Boylan as the manager of the fighter from North Sumatra.

"He will fight in the UFC on June 17," Boylan was quoted as saying by Mola Sports on Monday, April 3.

After losing in the Road to UFC final against Anshul Jubli last February, Jeka Saragih has settled in the United States for his career development. During his stay in Uncle Sam's country, Boylan said Jeka continued to experience improvement.

"Jeka Saragih will most likely be the best version. His desire to learn and develop is very high. That is extraordinary," said Boylan.

In his debut fight, Jeka will likely appear at the featherweight class, although it is not certain who he will face. Boyle said this after Jeka got a professional contract with the UFC.

Regarding his plans for his UFC debut, the 28-year-old athlete admits that he has learned many valuable lessons from Uncle Sam's country.

"I have been training with coach Marc Fiore for more than six months, I have been walking for 7 months, I plan to debut in the UFC. The training here that I caught was first discipline, and many techniques that I did not get before, I got here," said Jeka.

"My friends in training are also different with a posture far above all of us. I have to learn from the previous fights, I have to learn from the mistakes I made yesterday," he added.
