JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) recorded an oil and gas production of 935,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (MBOEPD), consisting of oil production of 459,000 barrels per day (MBOPD) and gas production of 2,756 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD).
Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Hermansyah Y Nasroen explained that this performance was supported by the implementation of various well development and maintenance programs that ran according to plan.
"From January to June 2026, PHE has completed the drilling of 278 exploration wells, carried out 601 workover activities, and 13,870 well service activities as an effort to maintain asset reliability and maintain production levels," he said, Tuesday, July 28.
On the exploration side, he continued, PHE continues to strengthen efforts to search for new oil and gas resources.
As of June 2026, the company has completed the drilling of 9 exploration wells, 189 kilometers of 2D seismic surveys, and 2,848 square kilometers of 3D seismic surveys.
The activity resulted in the discovery of contingent resources (2C) of 108 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBOE) and an addition to proven reserves (P1) of 24.9 MMBOE.
"The operational performance until the first half of 2026 is the result of the commitment of all PHE officers in carrying out upstream oil and gas operations safely, reliably, efficiently, and sustainably. We continue to maintain a balance between the optimization of production from existing assets and the development of new resource potential so that we can make optimal contributions to national energy security," said Hermansyah.
He added that PHE will continue to optimize the management of upstream oil and gas assets through accelerating the execution of drilling programs, the application of technology, and increasing operational efficiency in order to provide sustainable added value for the company and the country.
"Various achievements achieved until the middle of this year are a good foundation for completing the 2026 work program. We are optimistic that we can maintain a positive performance through disciplined program execution, good risk management, and collaboration with all stakeholders in supporting the achievement of national oil and gas production targets," he added.
PHE will continue to invest in the management of upstream oil and gas operations and businesses in accordance with the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).
PHE is also committed to Zero Tolerance on Bribery by ensuring the prevention of fraud and ensuring the company is free of bribery.
"One of them is the implementation of the Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) which has been standardized ISO 37001: 2016," he said.
