After U-19 National Team Wins For The First Time In South Korea, PSSI Chairman: Players Must Continue To Focus, Discipline And Follow Coach's Instructions

JAKARTA - PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan asked the U-19 national team to maintain focus after recording their first win in the test match in South Korea, Sunday, by defeating the Daegu University squad with a score of 2-1 in Daegu.

"Players must continue to focus, be disciplined and follow the coach's instructions," said Iriawan, quoted from Antara, Monday.

The U-19 national team match against Daegu University took place in three rounds of 40 minutes each.

The first half ended 0-0, then Indonesia took the lead thanks to Kadek Arel's goal and sealed a 2-1 win in the third half through Ronaldo Kwateh's goal.

As for the previous two friendly matches in South Korea, Indonesia lost to Yeungnam University 1-5 and South Korea's U-19 national team 0-7.

Mohamad Iriawan also hopes that coach Shin Tae-Yong's team can improve performance.

Next, Tuesday (29/3), the Indonesian U-19 national team will face off again with the South Korean U-19 national team.

Iriawan also hopes that the "Garuda Nusantara" squad will not lose again as in the previous meeting, Friday (25/3), which ended with a score of 0-7 for the victory of the "Ginseng Country" team.

"Furthermore, the U-19 national team is back against South Korea. I hope to get better results than yesterday's inaugural test," said the man who is familiarly called Iwan Bule.

The U-19 national team underwent a training camp (TC) and several test matches in South Korea to prepare for the U-20 World Cup in 2023.
