Document Problems Are The Cause Of Samuel Balinsa Cancels Joining Thai Club

JAKARTA - Football player Samuel Balinsa has canceled joining the Thai League's second tier club, Lampang FC. The main issue is the issue of transfer documents.

The document in question is the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) which should be issued by the national football parent (PSSI). This document can be issued if the player's new club has carried out the Transfer Matching System (TMS) process.

However, PSSI never received the document until the deadline for registering players in the Thai League 2 on Friday, January 7 yesterday.

"So that's the rule. ITC can only be issued after Lampang FC carries out the Transfer Matching System (TMS) process and then sent to PSSI. We have never received it until now. So how do we want to issue ITC," said PSSI Secretary-General Yunus Nusi in an official statement received by VOI.

Yunus said his party was not in the wrong position. The main fault lies with the Lampang FC club which failed to submit TMS to the Thai Football Federation before being forwarded to PSSI.

"So don't blame PSSI. It's not PSSI that hinders the player, but all of that there are rules and administration," he said.

Lampang FC has also apologized for this case. They admitted that they had made a mistake in the Balinsa transfer process which failed to materialize.

"We sincerely apologize to inform you that there was an error in the Lampang FC player registration process," said Lampang FC's official statement.

"The error relates to the ITC application which must be completed by January 7, 2022. However, the document cannot be completed until that time limit.

As a result, Balinsa's transfer will not be fully completed and cannot be registered this season."

"I, as the President of Lampang FC and the management of the team, would like to apologize profusely for the error that could not be resolved on time. I am truly sorry for this disappointment for both parties."

Lampang still invites Balinsa to train at the club to atone for the mistakes they made. Balinsa can not appear in the competition, but will be accommodated and received a contract as usual transfers.
