Ronaldo Offers Himself To Borussia Dortmund, Club Shares Immediately Rise

JAKARTA — Cristiano Ronaldo seems determined to leave Manchester United. Borussia Dortmund is the latest name to be linked with the Portuguese.

Despite only rejoining the Red Devils a year ago, Ronaldo is desperate to leave the club following their failure to qualify for the Champions League this season.

Until now, the 37-year-old footballer is still looking for a way out of Old Trafford. That intention seemed to be getting stronger after two humiliating defeats at the start of a poor season.

However, the former Real Madrid player did not leave because his fans were quiet. Clubs who want to take advantage of his services are reported to be constrained by paying very large salaries.

However, recent reports from British and German media, Bild, say that Borussia Dortmund is emerging as a possible next destination for Ronaldo.

According to Bild, the striker offered his services to Dortmund through his agent Jorge Mendes. However, whether or not to move CR7 remains a puzzle.

However, the news immediately had some impact on Dortmund. The club's shares reportedly rose 2.3 percent on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange following the Bild report.

Ronaldo is said to want to move to a team competing in the European Champions League this season. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is looking to increase his tally of goals in the event while keeping his record from being chased by opponents.
