JAKARTA - Pulogadung Police Chief Kompol Sutrisno appealed to the public not to become victims of the bank's Compulsion of Blocking the Bank's Independent Cash Companion Card (ATM).

"We from the Pulogadung Police gave an appeal to the public when there was a disturbance at the ATM machine at the time of the transaction, don't accept other people's offers to help. It is better to contact the call center from the Bank," said Pulogadung Police Chief Kompol Sutrisno to reporters, Friday, May 10.

As is known, a young man with the initials DK (30) who stole BRI's Automated Teller Card (ATM) was arrested by residents while carrying out his actions in a minimarket in the Rawamangun area, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta.

When arrested, the perpetrator's actions were known to his victim who was a woman.

Aldi, a minimarket employee, said that at the time of the incident there was one person. The perpetrator's actions were discovered when the victim's stolen ATM card, which was exchanged, fell and was known to the victim.

"He found out that when he entered the card again, the pin was wrong. Then his mother's card (victim) fell, didn't know it was his mother's card (victim). Then he shouted immediately, the perpetrator was arrested," Aldi told reporters at the scene, Friday, May 10.

During the search, dozens of cards of various banks belonging to the perpetrators were found.

"He found 50 ATM cards in the perpetrator's bag, matches and saws. He brought three fake number plates. The perpetrator was then taken to the nearest Polsek," he said.

Aldi said the perpetrator carried out his action by pretending to help the victim who had taken money at the ATM.

Previously, the perpetrator was suspected of having blocked the place to enter this ATM card.

"He pretended to help customers who wanted to withdraw cash, then the card was changed to him," he said.

The perpetrator was then handed over to the Pulogadung Police for further processing.
