Suspect Of Sadabuan Health Center Business Trip Corruption Detained In Padangsidimpuan Detention Center

JAKARTA - A suspect in the alleged corruption case of MSL (35) as the manager of the Health Operational Cost (BOK) of the Sadabuan Health Center is being held at the Padangsidimpuan City State Detention Center (Rutan), North Sumatra.

Head of the North Sumatran Attorney General's Office, Sumanggar Siagian, said the suspect was detained for the next 20 days starting from June 3 to June 22, 2021.

He mentioned the detention of the suspect, based on an order from the Head of the Padangsidimpuan District Attorney Number: 01 L:15/FD/1./06/2021 dated June 3, 2021.

In this case, there was a receipt of funds of Rp660 million at the Sadabuan Health Center which was sourced from the Budget Change Implementation Document (DPPA) for Health Workers (Nakes) of Padangsidimpuan City in 2020.

"From the budget received by the Health Office, including the expenditure for official travel within the region of Rp136 million," he said as quoted by Antara, Friday, June 11.

Sumanggar said the suspect, MSL and FSH, the head of the Sadabuan Health Center, made reports on the official travel of the health workers by falsifying signatures without the knowledge of the health workers of the Sadabuan Health Center.

Then pay official travel funds, prevention, and handling of COVID-19 to health workers who do not comply with the money receipt list.

"In addition, MSL and FSH made fictitious responsibilities and submitted official travel expenses that were not in accordance with the predetermined DPPA. As a result of these actions the state suffered a loss of Rp142,127,000," he said.

He added that the suspect violated Article 2 paragraph 1 Article 3 junto Article 8 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Crime of Corruption as which was amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes.
