Russian And Chinese Military Joint Exercises In The Sea Of Japan

JAKARTA - The Russian and Chinese military began conducting joint naval military exercises in the Japanese Sea on Saturday, September 21.

"A joint group of warships from the Pacific Fleet and the Chinese Navy sailed from the city of Vladivostok to conduct a joint Russia-China Beibu/Interaction - 2024 exercise," the press section of the Russian Pacific Fleet said in a statement, quoted by Antara.

Before leaving the base, the soldiers attended the opening ceremony which was also attended by military commanders from both countries, according to the statement.

The joint Russia-China exercise will last for a week and the military from the two countries will conduct simulations of how to fend off enemy attacks coming from the air, sea, and underwater environments. The soldiers also maneuvered.

In addition, the crew will also carry out artillery firing and a number of combat exercises using anti-aircraft and anti-submarine weapons.
