JAKARTA - The Central Java Provincial Transportation Office prepared three scenarios that will be implemented related to the ban on Eid al-Fitr homecoming in the period 6-17 May 2021 from the central government.

"Right now we are trying to anticipate for the banning of homecoming this year, there are scenarios, three ways," said Acting Head of Central Java Provincial Transportation Office Henggar Budi Anggoro in Semarang, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, April 13.

He explained that the first scenario is a pre-ban from May 1 to 5, 2021 in anticipation of early homecoming because from the data of the Ministry of Transportation there will be potential citizens to do so, namely the potential of Central Java travelers around 4.6 million people.

"We try to anticipate by doing a mobile post in collaboration with the relevant agencies, from the district/city, National Army/Police, hopefully before this prohibition period there are also restrictions on the movement of people entering Central Java," he said.

The second scenario, he continued, is related to people who have been homecoming in various ways and have reached their hometown.

"Of course to be used later is the optimization of micro PPKM and in Central Java or better known as Jogo Tonggo Program, later optimization there," he said.

The third scenario is to conduct an operation at the time of prohibition with points that have been determined by the police.

"Considering it is a form of synergy between parties, we are together there, synergy in the field," he said.

Based on last year's records from Central Java Transportation Office, travelers in Central Java who use land, sea, and air transportation modes totaled 661,000 people.

As reported, the government officially prohibits the public to conduct Eid al-Fitr 2021 homecoming.

The ban is stated in the Circular letter of the Head of the task force handling COVID-19 Number 13 of 2021 concerning The Elimination of Homecoming during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr in 1442 Hijri during 6-17 May 2021.
