Merangsek Tank, Israeli Military Shooting At Kamal Adwan Hospital, North Gaza

JAKARTA - Director of the Kamal Adwan hospital in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, revealed that the Israeli military twice entered the hospital complex over the past 24 hours. Israel opened fire on parts of the compound.

Maher Shamiya, a health ministry official, told CNN the Israeli military had destroyed some of the walls of the hospital. The oxygen station has also been damaged by Israeli gunfire.

Shamiya also claimed the military had entered the hospital grounds for the second time on Friday, October 25 in the morning and began separating men from women.

"After that, communication with anyone became impossible," he said.

It was reported that Israeli tanks and bulldozers entered the compound on Thursday, October 24 evening and began firing at several parts of the compound.

"We were surprised by the entry of bulldozers and tanks into the hospital complex," he said.

Israeli tanks opened fire on the top floor, broke windows and created a panic, terror and fear atmosphere.

"Everyone at the hospital gathered on the stairs. It was a very sad sight," he added.

Gaza's Ministry of Health said 23 injured people had been evacuated by six ambulances.

Abu Safiya said 70 people were seriously injured in hospitals that required evacuation.
