PASAMAN - TNI personnel from the Intel Kodim 0305/Pasaman Unit, West Sumatra, arrested two residents suspected of having methamphetamine at around 03.00 WIB in Kinali District, West Pasaman Regency.

Acting Commander of the Intel Unit Kodim 0305 Pasaman Peltu Dawirman said the two residents arrested were MI (22) and F (21) at a house located in Jorong Lubuak Anau Nagari Kinali, Kinali District.

"Both of them are suspected of being methamphetamine dealers. Currently, the two perpetrators and evidence are handed over to the West Pasaman Police Narcotics Criminal Investigation Unit for further legal proceedings," he said at Simpang Empat, Antara, Sunday, February 16.

The arrests of the two perpetrators began last Saturday at around 15:15 WIB when officers received information from the public regarding the location of the rented house in Lubuak Anau Nagari Kinali which is often used as a drug transaction

Receiving this information, he said, at 16.20 WIB the information was reported to the Commander of the Intel Unit Kodim 0305/Pasaman Peltu Dawirman.

Then at 17.00 WIB on orders from Dandim 0305/Pasaman through the Intel Unit Commander ordered six personnel to carry out checks related to this information.

"After checking and reconnaissance, at 02.00 WIB after arriving at the location of the rented house owned by MI Lubuak Anau, where a man F (21) was sitting," he said.

At the time of checking and briefly interrogation of the man, he admitted that he had methamphetamine to be traded in the rented house.

At 03.00 WIB, the Commander of the Intel Peltu Dawirman Unit and members arrived at the location, then the suspect and the evidence were secured and taken to Koramil 02/Simpang Empat.

From the arrest, the evidence that was secured was IDR 4,378,000 in cash, two cellphones, one power bank and four pistols.

Then one bong (smoking device), one plastic cream pack, one small black bag, one black mask, one ID card, the remaining Rp150.000 package methamphetamine and one pirex glass bank.

"Based on the results of a brief interrogation of the person concerned, until now there has been no involvement of TNI members in carrying out their actions," he said.

The two suspects admitted that they got the goods from a man whose name was already known and would be followed up.
