Chery Q Officially Launched at GIIAS 2026 with Prices Starting at Rp239.9 Million

JAKARTA - PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) finally announced the official price of its latest compact electric car, Chery Q, at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, Friday, July 31. This model is marketed starting at Rp. 239.9 million and comes in two variants, namely Chery Q Pure and Chery Q Rizz.

During the GIIAS 2026, the Chery Q Pure is offered at a price of Rp239.9 million, while the Chery Q Rizz is priced at Rp259.9 million. After the exhibition period ends, the normal price becomes Rp249.9 million for the Pure variant and Rp269.9 million for the Rizz variant.

President Director of PT Chery Sales Indonesia, Zheng Shuo, assessed that Chery Q has high competitiveness in the compact electric car segment thanks to the completeness of the features offered. According to him, a number of safety technologies embedded are not necessarily owned by competitors in the same class.

"For safety alone, this compact electric car is equipped with 6 airbags and 20 ADAS," said Zheng Shuo at ICE BSD, Friday, July 30.

Meanwhile, Vice Country Director of Chery Business Unit PT Chery Sales Indonesia Budi Darmawan Jantania, explained that the announced price was a special price for consumers who had made early reservations through the online pre-booking system.

"First come first serve, we will serve buyers who have made previous reservations," explained Budi Darmawan Jantania, on the same occasion.

In terms of design, the Chery Q comes with a modern concept that combines circular and square elements on the exterior. This electric car is available in three premium color options, namely Dusk Purple, Oat Latte, and Spark White.

In the cabin, Chery presents a smart cockpit concept with a head unit display that can be personalized according to user preferences. Despite its compact size, the Chery Q is claimed to have a spacious cabin with rear leg-room reaching 977 mm and head-room 985 mm.

The luggage capacity reaches 1,450 liters, supported by a 70-liter frunk which has been equipped with a drain valve so that it is more functional for various storage needs. To support daily mobility, Chery equips this vehicle with 38 storage compartments, a power frunk feature, and a 6.6 kW Vehicle to Load (V2L) which allows the car to be a portable power source for electronic devices.

In terms of performance, Chery Q is claimed to be able to travel up to 400 kilometers based on NEDC testing in a single full charge. The battery charging is also supported by fast charging technology that can increase battery capacity from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 16.5 minutes.

Driving convenience is also improved through the presence of the Autonomous Parking Assist (APA) feature which is combined with a 540-degree HD Panoramic Camera to help the parking process in limited spaces. In addition, there is also a power folding side mirror with a heating feature to maintain the driver's visibility when the weather is less friendly.

In the safety sector, the Chery Q relies on the Super Safe Frame body structure that uses 82 percent high-strength steel materials. Passenger protection is strengthened by six airbags, IP68 standard batteries that are resistant to water and dust, and 20 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features to improve safety during travel.
