Pramono Anung Will Add MRT Route To Pass JIS If Elected By The Governor Of Jakarta

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of Jakarta number 3, Pramono Anung admitted that he would try to add the Jakarta MRT route if he won the 2024 Pilkada. The route that Pramono wants to add will cross the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

Currently, the construction of the Jakarta MRT is in phase 2 which connects the HI Roundabout Station to the north to the Ancol area, North Jakarta. Pramono plans to add a route to Tanjung Priok to pass JIS.

"The cooperation between the local government and the central government must continue, for example, the MRT which leads to Marina (Ancol). But I will propose additional ones up to Tanjung Priok, because it must go through JIS and so on," said Pramono in Cengkareng Timur, West Jakarta, Friday, October 25.

In its planning, Phase 2A MRT Jakarta is divided into two segments, namely segment one of the HI 'Harmoni Roundabout which is targeted for completion in 2027, and the two Harmoni's segment of the City which is targeted for completion in 2029.

Meanwhile, Phase 2B MRT Jakarta, which plans to continue from Kota to Depo Ancol Barat, is still in the feasibility study stage.

In addition, Pramono also promised to continue the construction of the Jakarta LRT, which is currently in the construction process in phase 1B. Phase 1B is planned to have 5 stations connecting Velodrome Station to Rawamangun Youth Station, BPKP Scout Station, Pramuka Market Station, Matraman Station, and Manggarai Station.

Not only that, Pramono also plans to develop the Transjakarta route to the buffer zone for the Jabodetabek agglomeration area.

"So connectivity for Jakarta is no longer just Transjakarta, but it has to be Transjabodetabek. It's useless for Jakarta to finish, if the Transjabodetabek is not finished, congestion will still occur," said Pramono.

"Jakarta is now relatively better infrastructure. What has been done, cooperation between local governments and the central government must continue," he added.
