JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will coordinate with the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) and the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) to ask for an acceleration of the calculation of state losses.

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika when asked about the many cases that have not yet completed the calculation of state losses, such as allegations of corruption in business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) to the procurement of houses for positions for members of the DPR RI. The slow process made the suspects in this case never arrested.

"The current leadership will certainly coordinate with the leadership of BPKP, BPK," Tessa told reporters quoted on Tuesday, January 7.

Tessa said the KPK leadership for the period 2024-2029 was ready to sit with BPKP and BPKP to find a solution. "What is best for the implementation of calculating state losses in the future," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK has not detained the suspect in a case related to the article of state losses. Among them is corruption in land acquisition for the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) which was carried out by PT Hutama Karya (Persero) in 2018-2020.

A VOI source said that the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) was said to have not carried out its duties to calculate state losses. The letter of assignment has not been issued by the institution under the pretext of waiting for the process of cassing the company's civil lawsuit involved in this case.

Then, the assignment letter has not yet been issued by BPKP to calculate state losses in the corruption case of business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero).

This has been confirmed by the KPK spokesman, Tessa Mahardhika, who did not know the exact reason for not issuing the letter. However, he said this condition made it possible to use an internal forensic accountant even though the decision was ultimately in the hands of investigators.
