Rois Syuriah NU Gives Restu Pramono Anung Maju Jakarta Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - Pramono Anung received the blessing of Rois Syuriah PWNU Jakarta, Kiai Muhyidin Ishaq Rois and the caretaker of the Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School to run in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election (Pilgub).

Pramono received the blessing when he visited Kiai Muhyidin's residence in Cilandak, South Jakarta, Saturday, September 7.

Kiai Muhyidin then expressed his admiration for Pramono's action which had dispatched many of his neighbors to Umrah. Muhyidin was also impressed by Mas Pram's discipline who arrived on time at the meeting.

Muhyidin also called Mas Pram's attitude a 'new style NU' or different from old habits that are synonymous with delays.

Kiai Muhyidin then recalled his introduction to Mas Pram through Gus Reza from the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School, Kediri. Kiai Muhyidin also praised the leadership of Mas Pram's son, Hanindhito Himawan Pramana (Mas Dhito), who is now leading Kediri Regency.

"He looked shy, didn't want to tell about it," said Kiai Muhyidin at the meeting.

It is known that Pramono or familiarly called Mas Pram had been studying at the NU Islamic Boarding School in Kediri since childhood.

Pram is also known as one of the founders of Baitul Muslimin in the PDI-P along with other nationalist figures.

With the support of figures such as KH Muhyidin, Mas Pram is ready to continue his steps towards the 2024 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election by bringing a spirit of togetherness and real contribution to the community.
