Army Rank Increase: Army Chief Of Staff Maruli Simanjuntak Reminds Of Greater Responsibility

JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak emphasized that every promotion within the TNI AD brings greater responsibility. This was conveyed in his mandate when he received the report of the Corps for the Promotion of 52 High Officers (Pati) of the Indonesian Army at the Army Headquarters (Mabesad), Jakarta, Wednesday, September 4.

"Great power comes with great responsibility. I hope the officers who are promoted today continue to innovate, adapt to the dynamics of their duties, and improve their quality to carry out their duties as best they can," said Army Chief of Staff Maruli in his speech.

On this occasion, 52 Pati TNI AD officially received a promotion of one level higher, according to the position held. Of these, three Pati rose to the rank of Lt. Gen. TNI (third star), 12 Pati to Major General TNI (two star), and 37 Pati to Brigadier General TNI (one star). These high-ranking officers carry out their duties both inside and outside the TNI AD structure.

KSAD Maruli also congratulated the Pati who received promotions, while emphasizing that this promotion was not just an award for achievement, but also a reflection of a greater responsibility for the nation, state, and TNI institutions.

In addition, General Maruli emphasized the importance of self-management within the Indonesian Army, including in the procurement of individual equipment, operational vehicles, and the improvement of member housing facilities. He also underlined the importance of innovation and creative thinking for the advancement of the TNI, especially the TNI AD.

"Your thinking and innovation are very much needed for the progress of the TNI, especially the TNI AD," said Army Chief of Staff Maruli.

At the end of their mandate, Army Chief of Staff Maruli reminded officers who had been promoted to continue to maintain communication and coordination, wherever they served, in order to strengthen the unit and create new ideas for the advancement of the Indonesian Army.
