JAKARTA - The National Leadership Council (DPN) of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi) has prepared 50 witnesses to strengthen efforts to Review (PK) proposed by six convicts of the deaths of Vina and Eky at the Cirebon District Court (PN), West Java.
"The witnesses prepared by us consist of 30 fact witnesses and 20 expert witnesses," said Chairman of the Peradi DPN Otto Hasibuan at the Cirebon District Court, Wednesday, September 4, as reported by Antara.
Otto explained that the witnesses would be presented at every PK trial at the Cirebon District Court, to prove the arguments or novums that had been found by his team.
The novum in question, he said, was new evidence that had never been revealed in the trial that the six convicts underwent in 2016.
His party claims that some of the novums that have been prepared can affect the judge's decision, so that the convicts can be freed from the legal verdict for the deaths of Vina and Eky.
"A lot of this PK memory, but what is especially some of the novums are evidence that has just been found now," he said.
He said that currently the convicts who were his clients were present at the Cirebon District Court to follow the inaugural trial with the agenda of reading PK's memory by his team.
The six convicts consisted of Eko Ramadhani, Hadi Saputra, Eka Sandi, Jaya, Supriyanto and Rivaldy Aditya Wardana.
"For the prosecutor, it is scheduled to provide a response to the PK memory submitted by our team, at the next trial," he said.

Meanwhile, member of the attorney for DPN Peradi Jutek Bongso conveyed that the PK trial, which was attended by the convicts, had been temporarily suspended or suspended for 15 minutes.
He said the panel of judges at the Cirebon District Court, led by Arie Ferdian, planned to hold a closed trial because in the case of the deaths of Vina and Eky there were immoral elements.
His party emphasized that the indictment handed down to his client did not cover immoral elements, but was only related to Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning Premeditated Murder.
"We do not agree with the decision of the panel of judges to continue the trial behind closed doors. We will refuse to continue the trial," said Jutek.
Nevertheless, he added, the panel of judges then agreed and decided to hold a PK trial openly to the public.
"This trial should be open to the public. If the panel of judges imposes a closed trial, we will take another legal route," he said.
