Traffic In Cipulir Is Getting More And More Congested: Water Channel And Angkot Projects Such As 'Combo Package'

JAKARTA - The construction of a water channel on Jalan Ciledug Raya, Cipulir, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta has made traffic jams even more severe.

According to VOI monitoring at the location, it can be seen that passing drivers can only drive at speeds of no more than 10 kilometers/hour or run slowly.

The water channel construction project ate up the road, so that vehicles could only pass one lane to Tangerang to Jakarta.

Moreover, there are still public transportation (angkot) that stops on the shoulder of the road waiting for passengers while blocking the road.

Head of the Traffic Section of the South Jakarta Transportation Sub-department (Dishub) Prisno Jogiara admitted that in the Ciledug Raya area, Cipulir, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, there was a traffic jam due to the water channel project.

Therefore, his party together with the traffic police coordinate to carry out traffic engineering for the morning or leave hours of employee work.

"We are always with Polantas. Cipulir is the result of the meeting which should be 2-2 west-east (other than)," said Prisno at the Jakarta Sekatan Administration Office, Monday, July 22.

"Finally, we decided to engineer again, create a contraflow, so that in the morning it is not crowded enough to go to Jakarta. We do that on the south side of the contraflow, so the one leaving Jakarta is 1 lane. What we add will enter DKI (Jakarta)," he added.
