Ministry Of Manpower Says Pesangon And THR Victims Of Sritex Layoffs Will Be Paid After Assets Are Sold

JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker), Yassierli said that severance pay to holiday allowances (THR) for victims of the termination of employment (PHK) of PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk or Sritex will be paid after bankruptcy assets are sold.

This was conveyed by Yassierli in a joint working meeting with Commission IX at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, March 11.

"Regarding severance pay, service awards, then the rights replacement money to be paid from the sale of Boedel and THR assets will also be paid from the sale of boedel assets," Yassierli said in a meeting.

Meanwhile, regarding the wages of victims of Sritex layoffs, Yassierli said the curator had paid until February 2025.

"Of course wages, so curators have paid wages until February 2025. This is important for us to underline," he said.

Previously, the Minister of Manpower reported that there were around 11,025 workers at PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk or Sritex who had been laid off since August 2024.

"The number of Sritex Group workers who have been laid off, starting from layoffs from August (2024), actually there are some," Yassierli said in the same meeting.

Yassierli explained that PT Sinar Pantja Djaja started layoffs in August 2024 as many as 340 workers. Then it continued in January 2025 where PT Bitratex Industries laid off 1,081 workers.

"In Bitratex Industries, the case is finally workers who ask for layoffs because they ask for certainty," he explained.

Then on February 26, 2025, PT Sritex Sukoharjo and several other companies laid off. The total number of workers who were laid off was 9,604 people.

"With a total of 9 thousand, this is the data we have received regarding the total layoffs since August 2024 in the context of the Sritex Group," he said.

Thus, if combined, the number of workers affected by layoffs from August 2024 to February 2025 will reach 11,025 workers.
