Boncos Village Raided Again, 42 Drug Positive People Taken To West Jakarta Police

JAKARTA - A total of 46 people who were arrested from Boncos Village, Palmerah, West Jakarta underwent a urine test. As a result, 42 people tested positive for methamphetamine. Urine examinations were carried out after the Drug Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) of the West Jakarta Metro Police, carried out a raid in the area.

"Approximately 46 people have been arrested in front of us. Consisting of 44 men and two women," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes M. Syahduddi at a press conference at the raid site, Wednesday, July 17.

From the raid, the police secured evidence in the form of five small packages of methamphetamine, one firearm which was originally a match, two sharp weapons and 10 used pipettes.

"Then three digital scales, 30 lighters, some Rp5,000 denominations, then several plastic clips and several used straws," said Syahduddi.

"42 people who have tested positive, will be taken to the West Jakarta Metro Police office for further development and investigation," he said.

Syahduddi added that the raid on Boncos Village began with the arrest of two suspects with the initials IS and HS in a hotel park in Palmerah, West Jakarta.

"From IIS and HS, 10 packages of methamphetamine weighing 10,000 grams or 10 kilograms were secured," said Syahduddi.

The results of the interrogation carried out by investigators against IS and HS, two kilograms of the evidence will be circulated to Boncos Village.

Meanwhile, the other eight kilograms will be stored as stock for narcotics distribution for approximately the following month.

Based on this information, the West Jakarta Metro Police from the Narcotics Unit, Palmerah Police and several West Jakarta Metro Police personnel carried out a series of activities to take action and control the circulation of narcotics in the Boncos Village area.
