JAKARTA - A devastating fire broke out in the forest area of Thompson, Butte County, California, United States. Three officers were injured.
The state on Tuesday, July 2 received federal assistance to tackle the fire, Governor Gavin Newsom said.
"We are working proactively to get additional funding to help ensure the availability of important resources to contain the fires that occurred in Butte County," he said.
About 13,000 people are still under evacuation orders near Oroville, California, Sheriff Butte County said.
The fire has scorched about 3,002 hectares since the fire broke out on Tuesday morning.
