Polda Metro Jaya has submitted a request to block 583 sites or links related to online gambling to the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo).
The blocking application was carried out as a follow-up to the eradication of online gambling crimes.
"A total of 583 links have been submitted," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, to VOI, Tuesday, July 2.
The application for the blocking of hundreds of links or sites was carried out over the past three months. However, it was not stated in detail whether the request was followed up by Kominfo.
The benchmark for the follow-up is whether or not 583 links are still active to be blocked.
"It will be submitted from May 1 to July 2, 2024," said Ade.
