Psychological Constraints For Examining The Rank Officer Of Kompol, NTB Police Take An Expert In The Case Of Car Embezzlement

The NTB Regional Police took over the handling of the report at the Mataram City Police in the case of alleged fraud and embezzlement of four-wheeled vehicles with the reported police officer with the initials JT.

"Yesterday it was handled at the Mataram Police, because the locus was in Mataram, but considering that this is an officer in our ranks, we will withdraw it so that it is handled by the NTB Police. Hopefully the file can be withdrawn today to the regional police, we will continue to process," said the Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) of the NTB Police, Kombes Syarif Hidayat in Mataram, Antara, Friday, November 22.

He admitted that the first time the report was submitted to the NTB Police. Reports came in two weeks ago. Seeing the locus of the incident in Mataram, the Regional Police handed over the handling to the Mataram Police.

"However, the police have problems, because it is psychological, it is the officers who are suspected of being the perpetrators, so we will withdraw them back to the regional police, we will continue the investigation at the regional police," he said.

Syarif admitted that he had not received clarity regarding the report. However, he made sure that his party did not selectively follow up on every public report.

If it is proven that the officer violated the crime, he asserts that his party will take legal steps according to the rules.

"So, we will still check whoever did it, regardless of whether peace will be made to the two parties, we are waiting, at least, there is information that the reporter suffered a loss, then we will process it," he said.

The reported JT officer has the rank of Kompol. The report came from a victim named Ronald Arishoteles Basirang who felt cheated in the cooperation to rent five units of his four-wheeled vehicle.

This problem arose when the reporter agreed to lease the vehicle unit to the reported party on August 21, 2024, with an agreement for a rental price per day of IDR 350 thousand.

After one month of rent, four vehicles were returned and the rent was not paid. For one other unit, it is suspected that it has been pawned in the Kuta area, Central Lombok Regency.

This allegation emerged from the confession of the reporter who knew about the whereabouts of his vehicle in Central Lombok. Now the vehicle pawned by the reported party has been secured at the Mataram Police as evidence of the case.

As a result of the actions of the reported party, the victim felt aggrieved by tens of millions of rupiah.
