JAKARTA - Canadian police 'beaten up' a small bus driver for an accident that killed 17 elderly people last year. The driver is considered negligent because he stopped in front of a speeding truck.
Authorities said they would not charge the driver with charges, as he suffered a traumatic brain injury.
The accident, one of the worst in Canadian history, occurred in June 2023, about 170 km (105 miles) west of Winnipeg in the central province of Manitoba.
