The Mayor Of Tangerang Orders Civil Service Police To Remove Walls In Ciledug That Barriers To Citizen Access

TANGERANG - Mayor of Tangerang, Banten, Arief R. Wismansyah instructed the Civil Service Police (Satpol PP) to remove the concrete wall on Jalan Akasia, Tajur Village, Ciledug District. This wall makes it difficult for residents who will go out and enter the residence.

"It has been instructed to Civil Service Police to immediately remove the concrete fence", Mayor Arief said, quoted by Antara, Monday, March 15.

Tangerang City Administration Assistant, Ivan Yudhianto added that the decision to dismantle the wall was made because the mediation efforts made several times by the Tangerang City Government with both parties did not come to a conclusion.

Because of that, the Tangerang City Government took steps by demolishing it to provide road access to residents.

"Those who claim to own the land are absent and cannot show proof of land ownership", he said.

In addition, Ivan continued, from the results of field observations carried out by the ranks of the Tangerang City Government together with the National Land Agency (BPN) of Tangerang City, it was found that the land plots that had become polemic were recorded late as roads.

"On the land certificate as conveyed by BPN that the land is a road", he said.

The installation of a concrete wall as high as two meters and a length of 80 meters was carried out by someone who claimed to be an heir. As a result of the concrete installation, some residents have to climb the wall to be able to cross by making wooden steps.

The Ciledug sub-district head, Syarifudin, also admitted that he had conducted mediation but was not attended by the party who claimed to be the owner of the land in three meetings.

The incident of installing the concrete wall has occurred for two years, it was in 2019 by someone named Ruli. At that time, there was still road access for two-wheeled vehicles and people passing by.

However, in February during the flood, the concrete wall was damaged and burst. Then someone named Ruli put the concrete wall completely until it finally closed the access road.
