Head of the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office, Enen Saribanon, confirmed that the investigation into the alleged corruption case in the management of the land of former PT Gili Trawangan Indah (GTI) covering an area of 65 hectares in the Gili Trawangan tourist area is still ongoing today.

"The matter of corruption in the assets of the NTB Provincial Government in Trawangan, the former GTI land, is still in the process of being investigated," said Enen Saribanon in Mataram, Antara, Wednesday, December 18.

Investigators are still marathon examining witnesses, ranging from the government and entrepreneurs who collaborate in the management of the former GTI land.

"So, this investigation is still examining witnesses," he said.

In addition to witnesses, investigators were last recorded checking the completeness of the former GTI land management contract document from entrepreneurs who had collaborated.

Investigators obtained completeness of the document from the Head of the Gili Trawangan, Meno, and Air (Tlomina) Regional Technical Implementation Unit, Mawardi Khairi (MK).

Mawardi as part of the government was also investigated by investigators regarding the contract documents of the businessmen on the former GTI land.

Mawardi Khairi, who was confirmed earlier, confirmed that he was back in front of the prosecutor's investigators regarding the land management contract document for former GTI, businessmen in Gili Trawangan.

"What I have shown (contract documents) is from 2023 and 2024, starting from the time UPTD exists," said Mawardi.

During UPTD Gili Tramena formed in 2023, he explained, there were 30 businessmen who contracted with the government. Previously for 2022 as many as 140 businessmen contracted.

"If combined from 2022 until now, there are 170 contract documents. For those in 2022 before the UPTD, entrepreneurs have contracted with the government through BPKAD NTB," he said.

Regarding this condition, Mawardi said that not entirely the entrepreneurs who occupied the former GTI land had a contract with the government as land owners.

"Yes, if it is perceived, the current number of contracts only reaches 20 percent of the 65 hectare land area," he said.

Regarding that there are still many entrepreneurs who have not contracted, Mawardi admitted that he has explained the condition to investigators.

"So, those who have not contracted are the average entrepreneur who demands to be given SHM (the certificate of ownership), that's the condition, so there are only 170 entrepreneurs who want to contract," said Mawardi.

In the process of contracting the former GTI land management, entrepreneurs are given the requirements to pay annual levies to the government with a value of Rp. 2.5 million per are.

"So, if the business is on an area of 2 are, the retribution deposited directly into the regional treasury is IDR 5 million," he said.

During the investigation process, the NTB Prosecutor's Office also traced state financial losses by cooperating with the NTB Inspectorate. However, the prosecutor's office has not announced the results.

The NTB Provincial Government, after terminating the 65 hectare asset management cooperation contract, opens up opportunities for cooperation with entrepreneurs who have long run a business on the former PT GTI land.
