BANJARMASIN - The Banjarmasin Police ranks of the South Kalimantan Police have arrested six police officers and 12 civilians in the room of the Pyramid Hotel Banjarmasin during a raid on the Armani Executive Club nightclub on Sunday, June 9 in the morning.

"At first we checked the karaoke room but it was empty and empty of visitors after that we continued to check into the room of the Pyramid Hotel with one ownership and one area with the Armani Executive Club karaoke place," said Banjarmasin Police Chief Kombes Sabana Atmojo, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, June 9.

The Banjarmasin Police Chief said the examination of the Pyramid Hotel room located on Jalan Skip Lama, Central Banjarmasin District was a joint raid and enforcement of disciplinary order for members of the National Police on Saturday night at around 22.30 WITA until it was finished.

Officers inspected room number 607 Hotel Pyramid there were 18 people consisting of 12 civilians (including one member of Bhayangkari or wife of a member of the National Police), as well as six members of the National Police (five male police officers and a female police officer).

Sabana revealed that the Profession and Security (Propam) officers of the Banjarmasin Police and the South Kalimantan Police handled the members of the National Police for further investigation.

"Six police officers, among whom are members of Bhayangkari, did not come from the Banjarmasin Police, so we immediately submitted them to the Propam Division of the South Kalimantan Police for further investigation," said Sabana accompanied by the Head of Propam Banjarmasin Police AKP Chair and Head of Ops Kompol Made Subagya.

Meanwhile, 11 civilians who were also detained by officers said Sabana was handled by the Banjarmasin Police Narcotics Investigation Unit to undergo further urine tests and processes.

"We are waiting for the results of the examination, including the results of the urine test because there are allegations that they held a drug party in the hotel room," said Sabana Atmojo, who led the raid.

Sabana emphasized that she would take firm action against any forms of violations in the form of general crimes or drug abuse committed by the public or police officers.

It is known that the six police officers who were detained in room Number 607 of the Pyramid Hotel, namely Bripka FS from the Banjar Police, Bripka AI ( Tapin Police), Bripka CS ( Tapin Police), Brigadier RA (North Hulu Sungai Police), Brigadier Hospital (Batito Kuala Police) and a Police Brigadier AR ( Tapin Police).

Joint personnel from the TNI, Polri, Denpom VI/Mulawarman, Banjarmasin City BNN, South Kalimantan Police Propam Division, Transportation Agency and Banjarmasin City Satpol PP raided several nightclubs in Banjarmasin on Saturday night.
