JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto expressed his concern over the rise of cases of judges and law enforcement officers who were caught in bribery and corruption practices.
One of them is the bribery case of the Head of the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel), Muhammad Arif Nuryanta (MAN), regarding the verdict for the export corruption case of crude palm oil (CPO).
Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani revealed that from the start Prabowo had highlighted the weakness of the law enforcement system in Indonesia which was prone to corruption.
"Yes, that is the concern of President Prabowo from the start, our law enforcement has always been a problem in the future," said Muzani at the DPR building, parliament complex, Senayan, Thursday, April 17.
In response, President Prabowo is committed to reorganizing the national legal system in order to produce law enforcement officers with high integrity and dedication for the sake of community justice.
"He wants to make arrangements for legal development so that law enforcers are also people who have integrity and dedication to the nation," explained Muzani.
