The Bogor Resort Police arrested a member of a mass organization with the initials HM (50) who pointed a machete at a medical officer at the Leuwisadeng Health Center, Bogor Regency, West Java. HM is threatened with being charged with Article 335 Paragraph (1) concerning Threats with a sentence of 1 year in prison and Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 with a maximum threat of 10 years in prison. "We need to emphasize and convey that HM is the one who threatened with a machete to one of the doctors," said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro during a press conference at the Bogor Police Headquarters, Cibinong, Antara, Monday, April 29. HM was named a suspect after his actions intimidating medics along with several other members of mass organizations on April 22, 2024. At that time, said Rio, HM, who is the head of the local RW, admitted that he was not served during treatment at the Leuwisadeng Health Center, so he left the puskesmas. He then returned with his friends with a sharp weapon in the form of a machete. "He felt that he was not served by the puskesmas, he should have reported it to the leadership there (puskesmas) and asked for help," he said. Rio admitted that he would thoroughly investigate the case by examining several other members of the BPPKB mass organization involved. "Therefore, this is a special concern, so that everything can be revealed to the roots. I ask for patience, in the near future I will reveal further," said Rio.
