PekanbarU - Pekanbaru District Attorney's Office, Riau, has detained the Head of the Pekanbaru Communication, Information, Statistics and Education Office (Diskominfotik) Raja Hendra in connection with allegations of corruption in the creation of video content.
Head of the Special Crimes Section of the Pekanbaru Kejari, Nikiy Junismono, explained that the Head of the Information and Information Office was detained after being named a suspect.
The case is related to allegations of corruption in the management of content and planning of the communication media in the 2023 fiscal year.
"The state loss due to this case reached Rp972 million out of a total budget ceiling of Rp1.2 billion. This is based on an audit by the Riau Supreme Audit and Development Agency," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 9.
Apart from Raja Hendra, the Pekanbaru Kejari also named two other suspects, namely KDA as the commitment-making official (PPK) and MRA, Director of CV Tanjak Riau Sempena as a service provider.
"RH and KDA are suspected of not carrying out their main duties and functions properly so that there are markers on the cost of making videos made by the provider," said Nikiy.
