No Problem With PPP Communications To Other Political Parties, PDIP Considers It A Survival Effort

The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto did not question that PPP was communicating politically with other political parties (political parties) outside the coalition carrying Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD in the presidential election.

This was in response to the presence of PPP officials in the Golkar Party halalbihalal activities which were also attended by the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka coalition political parties.

Hasto understands that the party bearing the Kaaba symbol needs to make rescue efforts so that it can survive politics in Indonesia.

"In the context of survival as the Kaaba party, we encourage PPP to carry out political communication because it is part of the history of this nation. So there should be no intention to eliminate the history of PPP," said Hasto at the Constitutional Court Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 16.

Now, PPP is in danger of not qualifying for Senayan in the DPR RI Legislative Election because the votes did not reach 4 percent. From this condition, Hasto learned of a political operation that eroded PPP's vote in order to boost the votes of certain political parties.

"When yesterday's election there were parties who carried out political operations to encourage certain parties, including PSI, so that PPP was eroded, that was the result of political operations," said Hasto.

"So, we support PPP's steps to carry out political communication," he added.

On Monday, April 15, Plt Chairman of PPP Mardiono attended the Golkar Party's big family halalbihalal at the Golkar Party DPP Office. Mardiono was present with PPP Secretary General Arwani Thomafi.

Mardiono's presence was also predicted as a signal that the party carrying Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD moved to the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) which carried Prabowo-Gibran.

According to him, before KIM was formed, PPP first built a coalition with Golkar and PAN named the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB). However, Mardiono revealed that until now the coalition had not been officially dissolved.

"I was before I became the Acting General Chair, I am the coordinator of KIB. Then, KIB has not been officially disbanded until now, there is no KIB to dissolve it," he said.

He explained that the communication between general chairmen at KIB is still in good relations. Even though during the 2024 presidential election yesterday, they were not in the same camp.

"Yes, we are still in good communication with Pak Zul (Zulkifli Hasan) the General Chair of PAN and Pak Airlangga Hartarto, the General Chair of Golkar. We are still communicating and discussing national issues, it is still," he said.
