Kakorlantas Polri Reminds Backflow Riders To Take Care Of Stamina And Check Vehicles

BANDARLAMPUNG - Kakorlantas Polri,irjen Aan Suhanan, reminded the drivers/homecomers on the 2024 Lebaran backflow to maintain their stamina and check the vehicles to be used on the way.

"We remind prospective drivers who will return to Java or Sumatra so that their stamina must be ensured in a fit state," said Irjen Aan Suhanan as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, April 12.

He also asked the applicant to rest if his physical condition was tired, because of the two accidents that stood out in yesterday's homecoming flow, the main cause was fatigue.

"At a maximum of 4 hours of driving, we ask the applicant to rest, if they are tired of stopping. Moreover, there is a delay system, take advantage of that, especially since the information from ASDP tickets that have been purchased has not been scorched during the backflow period," said Kakorlantas.

Inspector General Aan Suhanan also asked the drivers to check the vehicle used before traveling.

"Vehicles are also expected to be checked if they want to be used," he said.

Distribution using rental vehicles, to ensure that the vehicle unit rented is official.

"If you want to use a public vehicle or rent, make sure it's official. Don't use an unofficial rental vehicle, because we can't guarantee whether the vehicle is roadworthy or not," he said.

On the other hand, the National Police Headquarters also revealed that the results of the evaluation of traffic accidents during the Lebaran 2024 homecoming period decreased.

"Seeing the evaluation of traffic accidents nationally, there was a decrease of 12 percent and fatality also decreased, but we are concerned that there were two prominent incidents," he said.
