JAKARTA - A young man managed to thwart the theft of a motorbike in the Pulogadung area, East Jakarta. Two perpetrators, who were father and son, were arrested by residents while trying to escape.

Cindy as the victim said the perpetrator was caught by the victim's colleague by stopping his motorbike.

"My friend was hit, and the thief fell. So the thief was father and son. The one who ran away was his son. The one who took the motorbike was his father," Cindy told reporters, Friday, April 5.

The incident of the arrest of the perpetrator of the motorcycle theft was also caught on CCTV cameras at the scene. Two perpetrators who failed to steal a motorcycle were chased by residents and motorcycle owners.

One of the residents even crashed his motorbike into the perpetrator's motorbike, causing the perpetrator to fall.

The perpetrator, who is known to be the father and son, pretended to be an online motorcycle taxi driver and tried to take a motorbike parked in front of the house.

The actions of the two perpetrators were later discovered by the owner of the motorbike, who then shouted and provoked local residents.

"The perpetrator used a grab jacket on the grounds that his son was a passenger. The perpetrator was carrying a motorbike. The perpetrator's motorbike was hit. Then one perpetrator was taken to the police station. What he wanted to steal was a beat motorbike," he said.

Furthermore, the perpetrators were handed over to the Pulogadung Police.
