AP II Alerts 9,416 Officers To Serve Flights, Most At Soetta Airport

PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II as the manager of 20 major airports in Indonesia has alerted 9,416 officers to serve flights during the 2024 Eid homecoming period.

"In Eid 2024 transportation, all AP II airports have prepared a total of 9,416 personnel. It is possible that the most personnel will be placed at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta)," said Vice President of Corporate Communication AP II, Cin Asmoro in Tangerang, Banten, Thursday, March 21, confiscated by Antara.

As for the 9,416 personnel, he said, Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting personnel, Apron Movement Control, aviation security or Avsec. In addition, BKO TNI and Polri, facilities care, customer service, digital service and so on.

Meanwhile, he continued, all facilities were also confirmed to be ready, such as air side facilities, including runways, garbarata, visual docking guidance systems (VDGS). Furthermore, security facilities such as walkthrough metal detectors (WMTD), Body Scanner, X-ray, and CCTV.

"Then also the ARFF facility, namely the main vehicle fleet and supporting vehicles for emergencies. Especially at Soetta Airport, an Airport Operation Control Center is prepared which is equipped with modern equipment as a platform for collaboration of all stakeholders at airports," he said.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport is also equipped with a Land Transport Control Center as a control center for land transportation services and Airport Infrastructure Control Center (AICC) to monitor vital infrastructure.

In this case, Angkasa Pura II predicts a 12 percent or 4.36 million passenger surge in Eid 2024 transportation.

This figure is the cumulative number of airplane passengers at 20 airports managed by Angkasa Pura II.

"It is projected to reach 4.36 million people or an increase of 12 percent. This is compared to the realization during the Eid 2023 transportation period of 3.89 million people," he said.
