Vincent's Child Diversion Efforts Are Not Agreed, Bully Case At Binus Serpong High School Enters Green Table

TANGERANG - Efforts to be diverted related to cases of bullying carried out by 8 children in conflict with the law (ABH), one of which was Vincent Rompies' son, LR, and his classmates have not heeded the results. So that the case file will be transferred to the South Tangerang District Attorney (Kejari).

"Regarding the agreement in the diversion, we refer to article 11 of the juvenile justice system (SPA)," said the victim's attorney, Furba Indah when confirmed, Monday, March 18.

"The agreement there is that, especially from both parties, especially the victim and the victim's family. However, there was no agreement on the meeting. Considering that the victim has not agreed to this for today's conversion," he continued.

Therefore, said Furba, with the cancellation of the agreement in the diversion held by the Police. So the legal process against 8 ABH students of Binus School Serpong, will soon be transferred to the District Attorney.

"According to the SPA law, this case will be continued or transferred from the Police to the District Attorney," he said.

Previously, it was reported that as many as 4 Binus Serpong High School students, South Tangerang became suspects in cases of violence or bullying (bully). Meanwhile, 8 other students have the status of children in conflict with the law (ABH).

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Tangerang Police, AKP Alvino, said the four suspects had the initials E (18), R (18), J (18) and G (19). Meanwhile, 8 other students were categorized as children in conflict with the law, who were suspected of committing acts of violence against minors, or beatings.

"So the total set is 12 people with details: 8 children are in conflict with the law and 4 suspects," Alvino told reporters at the South Tangerang Police, Friday, March 1.

Alvino said that 4 suspects were charged with Article 76C in conjunction with Article 80 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2014 for the second amendment to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection and/or Article 170 of the Criminal Code.
