Semarang Prosecutor's Office For Restorative Justice, Suspect Of Persecution At Former Sunan Kuning Localization

JATENG - The Semarang City District Attorney (Kejari) has released the suspect of persecution through a restorative justice mechanism or Restorative Justice.

Head of the General Crime Section of the Semarang City Kejari, M. Rizky Pratama, explained that the crime of persecution took place at a karaoke place in the former localization of Sunan Kuning Semarang in June 2023.

"This suspect was involved in a misunderstanding with the victim who is still his own friend," he said in Semarang, Friday, March 8, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to him, the suspect, who was emotional, hit the victim and was injured.

During the investigation process in the police, he continued, the suspect was not detained.

When the case was transferred to the prosecutor's office, he said, the suspect was subject to city detention and asked to use a location detector.

After the case was declared complete, officers removed the location detection device attached to the suspect's leg.

Rizky said that the settlement of cases outside the court was the second carried out by the Semarang Kejari in 2024.

Meanwhile, the Restorative Justice imposed on the suspect named Sutarji was also based on an agreement between the victim and the suspect.
