Allegations of distribution of basic necessities and money by Paslon 02 in Pulogadung/ X: @MirtadhaOne1

JAKARTA - A number of residents of RW 07, Pisangan Lama, Pisangan Timur Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, were shocked by a chain message on the WhatsApp application containing posts on social media (Medsos) X with the account @MirtadhaOne1, Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

In the post, a video recording of the alleged candidate pair 02 field team was seen distributing basic necessities (nine basic commodities) and envelopes to the residents of East Pisangan, Pulogadung District. The distribution of basic necessities took place on Saturday, January 27.

In the caption upload, it was written that the residents were quite willing to have their e-KTP photographed, including the WA number which the team would call at any time and sign a statement on the obligation to vote for 02 and be controlled by the supervisor for February 14, 2024.

"The contents of the package are 0.5 kg of sugar, 500 ml of cooking oil and 1.5 kg of rice. As well as envelopes containing Rp. 30,000," wrote the caption.

The contents in the caption also read that bring information that the 02 team will hold a program to distribute basic necessities and envelopes to all RWs in the East Jakarta area.

The social media account has 2.5 million views uploaded on Monday, January 29. The upload also has 15.4 thousand fans.

Responding to the upload, Chairman of RW 07 Pisangan Timur Village, Achmad Rizal said that his party was aware of volunteers who wanted to distribute basic necessities in his area on Saturday night, January 27.

"Saturday night Sunday night, there are indeed volunteers who want to distribute basic necessities in our area. Everything called basic necessities that are still struggling, we as administrators of RT and RW receive it. Indeed, this is not a distribution (free) but a cheap cane for Rp. 10,000 per package," said Achmad to VOI at the location, Wednesday, January 31.

Achmad denied any issues as uploaded by the @MirtadhaOne1 account that there was a distribution of money to residents of RW 07, Pisangan Lama, Pisangan Timur Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta.

"There is no such thing as money or an integrity pact to stab a candidate for president. Nothing at all. That's not true. The true thing is that the contents of the basic necessities per package are redeemed cheaply Rp. 10,000 containing 2.5 kg of rice, 1 liter of cooking oil and 1 kg of sugar. Only that, nothing more than that. I guarantee the hoax," he said.

Achmad learned that the upload video on social media X was uploaded one day after the upload of the video and caption was uploaded.

"I knew the next day, I was sent there was a viral like this. For the problem of recording I didn't see it," he said.

Meanwhile, according to information compiled by VOI, on Saturday, January 27, there were volunteers from Bison Indonesia from one of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs who carried out cheap basic necessities in the RW 07 area, Pisangan Lama, Pisangan Timur Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta.

A total of 400 cheap sugar cane packages were distributed to residents. Residents only pay Rp. 10 thousand and get basic materials for types of rice, oil and sugar. Local residents do not get basic commodities for free, they still have to buy at a low price.

When confirmed, Bison National Coordinator Ginka Ginting also denied any allegations that had no basis for his party.

"So we want to convey that what was conveyed by the tweet is completely untrue. Because we from Bison distribute cheap cane packages for basic necessities and attract Rp. 10,000 for the basic necessities we provide. We have good intentions to provide benefits in the midst of people in need," he said.
