Economist: Transparency in Law Enforcement is Important to Maintain Investor Confidence

JAKARTA - Economist and Public Policy Expert of UPN Veteran Jakarta, Achmad Nur Hidayat, expressed his concern over the findings of cash and gold bars weighing 74 kilograms in a search of a house in the Sentul area carried out by the Polri Tipidkor Court.

On the other hand, he also encouraged the Attorney General's Office to continue strengthening efforts to eradicate corruption as part of strengthening government governance. Furthermore, Achmad assessed that transparency in every legal process would strengthen business certainty while increasing public confidence in state institutions. Professional law enforcement is also part of efforts to build good governance.
