Making Officers Overwhelmed, Bawaslu Will Order Troubled APK Until February 10

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) will control campaign props (APK) that violate the General Election Commission (KPU) regulations until February 10.

"We will continue to control this APK until February 10, 2024," said DKI Jakarta Bawaslu Community Prevention and Participation Division Coordinator Burhanuddin to reporters in the Pancoran area, South Jakarta, Monday, January 29.

He also admitted that the control carried out by his party together with the Satpol PP to the TNI-Polri on January 19 and 26, then not everything was resolved. Because, according to Burhanuddin, many APKs were paired not according to the provisions.

Moreover, it was too late at night and not all of them were carried out by sweeping the DKI Jakarta area regarding the APK.

"Because earlier, it was a matter of time to be put in order from 9 pm to 12 pm. Ordered because the officers were tired of controlling it. Then they could not target the entire DKI Jakarta area," he said.

"But there are quite a lot of APKs so it can't be finished just once," he continued.

Therefore, the plan for the DKI Bawaslu together with the Satpol PP to the TNI-Polri will carry out control every Friday.

"Rencana ada penertiban lagi, setiap Jumat malam kita lakukan penertiban," tutupnya.
