JAKARTA - A man was desperate to burn the Jami Al Fallah Mosque in Sunter Jaya, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. Luckily the fire was extinguished so that it did not cause severe damage to the mosque.
In a video circulating on social media, the perpetrator wears a hat into the mosque's room carrying a bottle that is suspected to contain gasoline. By the perpetrator, gasoline was poured onto the carpet of the place of worship.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanjung Priok Police, Iptu Idris, confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Wednesday, January 24, at 19.26 WIB.
