BANGKA - Class II B Sungailiat Penitentiary Officer, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Babel), secured visitors with the initials MDSR who carried six packs of white crystals suspected of being methamphetamine in the prison. "We have submitted the MDSR along with evidence of six packs of white crystals suspected of being methamphetamine and a cell phone to the Bangka Police," said Head of Class II B Sungailiat Zullaeni Prison in a press statement received by ANTARA in Pangkalpinang, Wednesday, January 3. MDSR along with evidence in the form of six packs containing white crystals were secured by Class II B Sungailiat prison officers on Tuesday at around 10.30 WIB in the Sungailiat prison room. "This MDSR was arrested by prison officers when he was about to hand over six packs of white crystals to a prison inmate (WBP) with the initials HS in the prison room," he said. He stated that to ensure that these six white crystalline packs were methamphetamine, the Class II B prison was in coordination with the Bangka Police. "We have coordinated with the Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit and at around 15.00 WIB, MDSR and evidence were handed over to the Bangka Police," he said. Head of the Correctional Division of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) Babel Kunrat Kasmiri added that MDSR visited the WBP with the initials HS in the visit room of Sungailiat Prison. "The security officers at the main door and the head of the security team have suspected the movement of the MDSR. When the MDSR handed over six small packs of white crystals suspected of being methamphetamine, HS was immediately arrested by prison officers," he said.
