1 Week Search, A 12-year-old Boy Who Disappeared In The Bekasi River Was Found 16 Kilometers From The Incident Location

JAKARTA After 1 week of searching, the SAR team finally managed to find Habib's body (12) in the river flow of Taman Sentosa Housing, South Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, West Java. Habib was previously reported missing by the current until he drowned.

Previously, Habib (12) and Rizqi (12), their friends who were also killed, were swept away by the current of the river when they fell last Friday, December 8. Both of them were swallowed up by the current of the river. However, Rizqi was found dead on Sunday, December 10.

"Jasad Habib was found at a radius of 16 km from the scene, precisely at the Ciherang Bridge, Karang Bahagia District, Bekasi Regency, West Java," said Head of the Jakarta Basarnas as SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) in the SAR operation, Fazzli when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, December 13.

The victim's body on behalf of Habib was found by the SAR team in a condition that appeared above the surface of the water. Then an evacuation was carried out to the Bekasi District Hospital.

"The body has been handed over to his family," he said.

The search for victims is carried out up to a radius of 25 KM from the scene. The search uses rubber boats on rivers and visual searches by land.

Dozens of joint SAR personnel were deployed in an effort to search for victims, including the Bekasi SAR Alert Unit, Bekasi Regency BPBD, Bekasi City BPBD, South Cikarang Police and other SAR elements.

"To the whole community to be careful and also to supervise their family members, including children while playing in the rainy season so that this disaster does not happen again," he appealed.

Previously, it was reported that a boy named Rizqi (12) was found dead due to drowning in the flow of water at the Sentosa Park Housing, South Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, West Java. Victim Rizqi drowned with one of his friends who is still being searched by the SAR Team.

Rizqi's body was found based on information from residents who saw a corpse caught in the Ciweak Abang River, Bekasi Regency, approximately 1 kilometer from the scene.

"After receiving information from residents, then we dispatched personnel to the location. We immediately evacuated the victims and we took them to the family," said Head of Kansar Jakarta, Fazzli in a statement received by VOI, Sunday, December 10.

Fazzli said his party was still searching for one other victim along with the joint SAR Team.

"We are continuing to search for one victim who has not yet been found on behalf of Habib (12)," he said
