JAKARTA - Chongqing-based motorcycle manufacturer ZXMOTO has started exporting finished motorcycles in large quantities to the European market. The first shipment contained 200 units and became the company's first mass export to the region.

China Daily, quoted on Friday, June 26, reported that the shipment was dispatched from Shanghai on Wednesday. Previously, the motorcycle departed from Guoyuan Port in Chongqing after being registered for export.

From Chongqing, the units were sent down the Yangtze River to Shanghai. After that, the shipment continued by sea to Poland.

ZXMOTO entered the European market after recording strong results on the race track. Earlier this year, the company won the Portuguese series in the 2026 FIM Supersport World Championship. It was the first victory for the Chinese manufacturer in the Supersport class.

As of mid-June, the ZXMOTO team has won six victories in the 2026 World Superbike Championship or WSBK season.

Huang Qin, head of the foreign trade department of ZXMOTO, said orders from Europe were increasing rapidly. So far, the company has focused more on the Asian market.

In addition to 200 motorcycles for Poland, as many as 330 motorcycles for Spain have also been shipped from the Guoyuan Port.

To facilitate delivery, the customs office uses multi-modal transportation, namely delivery with more than one type of transport. In this case, the motorcycle was sent by river before continuing through the sea route. This way is used to simplify the declaration process and speed up customs inspections.

ZXMOTO was founded in 2013 by Zhang Xue. He chose Chongqing because the city has a strong motorcycle industry.

Chongqing is often referred to as the Motorbike Capital of China. The city is home to five of China's 10 largest motorcycle exporters.

According to Chongqing Customs, motorcycle exports from the city reached 12.21 billion yuan or about 1.80 billion US dollars in the first five months of this year. The value increased by 9.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
