PB PORDI Officially Under the Indonesian Mass Sports Committee

JAKARTA - The General Manager of the Indonesian Domino Sports Association (PB PORDI) has confirmed that they will officially be under the Indonesian Community Sports Committee (KORMI) when they open the 2026 Jakarta Domino Tournament.

The Chairman of the PB PORDI, Andi Jamaro Dulung, confirmed their position when he was present to open the implementation of the Higgs Games Island (HGI) Jakarta Domino Tournament at the Velodrome Rawamangun, East Jakarta, on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

"Today we from PB PORDI determine that we will be under the auspices of KORMI or the Indonesian Community Sports Committee," he told the media after opening the tournament.

KORMI is one of three Indonesian sports committees under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenpora RI). The other two are the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) and the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI).

The things that Andi conveyed above also answered the position of the PB PORDI in the development of domino sports in Indonesia after the emergence of other domino sports parent declarations some time ago which were recognized by the Central KONI as a sport.

Andi explained that national sports federations such as PB PORDI are allowed to be under one of the three committees established by the government and they also decided to join KORMI.

"For friends [other domino sports leaders] who join KONI and KOI, please grow their respective organizations and we will grow KORMI as agreed upon a few days ago," he said.

The HGI Jakarta Domino Tournament 2026 is the second series - after East Java - which is held by PB PORDI from the seven series prepared. This series of events will last until December or exactly with the birthday of PB PORDI.

Andi said that the last implementation at the end of the year is also a possibility almost simultaneously with the congress for the change of the management structure.

"The next implementation will take place in a row in Medan, West Java, then we will shift to Makassar, East Kalimantan, and finally in North Kalimantan," he explained.

The HGI Jakarta Domino Tournament 2026 which took place on June 27-28, 2026 was recorded by 1,024 participants or 512 pairs with a total prize provided of Rp. 200 million.

The number of participants has been reduced from the 700 pairs who had registered to compete. This reduction decision was made because there were no slots available.

The large number of participants who reached thousands is a tangible proof of the dominoes that at first were a casual game have transformed into a competitive sport with very high enthusiasts.

Ray as the Representative of Higgs Games Island said that this competition is not just about prizes, but how mind sports can get space.

"Seeing more than a thousand participants crowding the Jakarta International Velodrome today is proof that mind sports are not a passing trend but a real movement. This is a moment we have been planning since we first built this ecosystem," he said.
